Recently I’ve been having a conversation about Regular Car Reviews with some of my non-enthusiast friends.
I’ve been trying to convince them that Mr. Regular’s YouTube channel isn’t just about cars. It’s also about skewering conventional wisdom, and using the automobile as a lens for understanding American culture as a whole.
And, that’s it’s smart, and crude, and funny and worth watching even if you’re not a car-guy or -gal.
So, help me out - what are your favorite RCR episodes? Why? Which ones would you share with your non-car buddies?

The Dodge Challenger review is pretty great start.
Wow all three comments have recommended a Dodge, Mr. Regular really nails Dodges.

The Nitro review is one of my faves, so, yes, he’s spot on with the Dodges.

Dodge Avenger review, this is gold standard of real regular car reviews. He and mostly The Roman display a disdain for a car that rides on the coat tails of the dodge neon and does it poorly and or worse (it’s the automotive equivalent of accepting pepsi when there is no coca cola in a 5 mile radius because you’ve had it with searching for coca cola). It’s a review of a car take took place at a time with a shit economy and auto manufactures were asking for bailouts. But the highlight of it is the dark comedy, unseen in a automotive review or youtube video in general. He explains how crap the car is while mixing in poop humor. Now its become the go to for sharing regular car reviews.

My favorite is the Chevy Suburban. Particularly the part where he explains how you don’t so much work on the engine, as you ascend the grille and pay tribute.

I think that C5 Corvette one was really good. He really hit the nail on the head with the Corvette’s history and place in today’s culture. And the ’Vette is one of those cars that even non-car people have opinions about.

Good one - as was mentioned above, Mr. Regular seriously gets Dodges.

His Grand National review was wonderful and goes into great detail describing the zeitgeist of the era.

The PT Cruiser review is this finest “car review that isn’t about cars so much as humanity.”

I’d say the Focus ST review, or the 07 Accord review, Business business business!
Person fav is a tie for SRT4 Neon, or Corvette C4.

The Mercury Sable video.
The fact that he describes the vulcan V6's inability to respond to throttle input as “filibustering through the rev range” still gets me laughing for a good ten minutes straight.
Plus, that video contains ungodly amounts of Pennsylvania references.

Make them watch the old Ford Falcon stock episode. Thats probably the most humorous, sterile one that doesn’t get too meta.
